Students searched the school grounds for the "perfect" rock. They each had to find one that would fit into a snack size baggie. Then, the children measured, weighed, float tested, scratch tested, and wrote about their rocks. We finished by putting the class rocks in order from the least mass to the greatest. This was great fun. We had a blast with our new pet rocks. They are in the hallway outside of our classroom- if you come by make sure you check them out!

Fractured Fairytales!
We had so much fun learning about figurative language (similes, metaphors, personification, hyperboles, idioms) through fairytales in the past few weeks. We then read scripts, picked our favorites, tweaked them to make them perfect and performed them for over 50 family members! Thank you for your constant support of the "Finnians" and enjoy the photos below that I was able to get of your families:

Finn Fun!
I have finally found an internet connection again! We are currently in the middle of a big move and my computer is in storage. Tonight, we are visiting family so I have a connection to upload photos.
